Laivatyö edellyttää voimassa olevaa passia/kansainvälistä ID-korttia ja 18 vuoden ikää. Lisäksi merimieslääkärintodistus on pakollinen koko merimiehistölle, sellaisen voi hankkia Merimiesterveyskeskuksesta. Merimieslääkärintodistuksen hankkiminen vie jonkin aikaa, joten henkilöllä, jolla lääkärintodistus on jo valmiina, on mahdollisuus työllistyä nopeasti.

Arvostamme hyvää kielitaitoa (erityisesti englanti, suomi, viro). Riittävä suomen ja englannin kielitaito on avain onnistuneeseen asiakaspalveluun. Virallinen työ- ja turvallisuuskieli laivalla on englanti.

Työtä laivalla pyöritetään vuoroin siten, että jokaista työvuoroa laivalla seuraa yhtä pitkä vapaajakso (esim. 1 viikko laivalla ja 1 viikko vapaata). Koko miehistö asuu laivalla työaikanaan ja he majoittuvat erillisiin miehistöalueisiin, joissa on myös yhteisiä tiloja kuten miehistön kuntosali ja sauna.

We are hiring enthusiastic hospitality crew for the summer season of 2024! 

Eckerö Line's M/S Finlandia and M/S Finbo Cargo have many interesting summer job opportunities onboard in different customer service tasks, for example in the kitchen, restaurants and bars, shops and warehouse, housekeeping and security. 

You'll enjoy working with us if you are diligent and like fast paced work, enjoy maritime surroundings and customer service. The right attitude, a twinkle in the eye and enthusiasm to learn new things are important to us. If you are interested in a summer job with a sea view, apply to us!

A passport or international ID-card is needed and a minimum of 18 years of age. In addition, a seafarer's medical certificate is mandatory for all sea crew, this can be obtained in advance at a Seafarer's health center. Obtaining a seafarer's medical certificate takes some time, so a person who already has a medical certificate has the opportunity to get a job quickly. We value good language skills (especially English, Finnish, Estonian). Adequate knowledge of Finnish and English is the key to successful customer service. The official working and safety language on board is English.

Work onboard is rotated in shifts, so that each working shift onboard is followed by an equally long free period (for example 1 week onboard and 1 week off). All crew live onboard during their work periods and are accommodated in cabins in separate crew areas with facilities such as crew gym and sauna.
